APC govs sympathise with Niger gov over tragedies

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has expressed his condolences to the people of Niger State over recent tragedies, describing many of the incidents as avoidable. Uzodinma made this statement during a solidarity visit to Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago, alongside other members of the Progressive Governors' Forum (PGF).

The visit followed several disasters in Niger State, including floods, boat mishaps, tanker accidents, and security challenges, resulting in significant loss of life and displacement of residents. Uzodinma emphasized the need for collaborative efforts between the government and stakeholders to mitigate such disasters, suggesting traditional rulers could play a role in addressing insecurity ¹ ².

Uzodinma's comments come amid ongoing security challenges in Imo State, where he has vowed to end senseless killings and restore peace. His administration has been working to strengthen security measures and address the root causes of insecurity ³ ⁴ ⁵.
