The Adamawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 1,200 personnel to enhance security during the Christmas and New Year celebrations. The personnel have been stationed at strategic locations across the state to ensure peaceful and trouble-free celebrations.
Under the leadership of State Commandant Idris Bande, NSCDC is fully prepared to monitor areas expected to witness large gatherings during the festivals. Patrol vehicles provided by the Adamawa State Government will aid the state command's efforts in carrying out its responsibilities.
The NSCDC spokesman, Hamidu Nyako, urged residents to remain vigilant and provide timely information to help prevent criminal activities and ensure swift responses to security challenges ¹ ² ³.
