Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has promised a peaceful and rancour-free transition of power in 2027, marking a historic milestone in the state's 50-year history. Speaking at a Christmas church service in Iperu-Remo, Abiodun expressed confidence in his administration's ability to achieve this feat, citing solid governance, economic expansion, and people-focused development.
Under his leadership, Ogun State's economy has grown significantly, with the annual budget expanding from ₦355 billion to over ₦2.7 trillion. New factories and industries are springing up across the state, and over 2,000 schools have been reconstructed. Abiodun also highlighted job creation, farmer empowerment, and expanded opportunities for residents ¹ ² ³.
The governor attributed his confidence to the administration's achievements and commended President Bola Tinubu's purposeful leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Abiodun pledged to continue serving the people and glorifying God through impactful projects, citing the Gateway International Airport as a lasting legacy.
