Police Rescue Kidnapped Father and Son in Adamawa After Gun Battle

In a daring operation, security forces in Adamawa State have rescued a kidnapped father and son following a gun battle with suspected kidnappers in Shelleng Local Government Area. The operation was part of the police's collaborative strategies to combat kidnapping, robbery, cattle rustling, and unlawful possession of firearms ¹.

According to Police Spokesman, Suleiman Nguroje, the suspected kidnappers engaged the police in a gun duel, but one of the kidnappers was neutralized while others escaped with bullet wounds. The rescued victims, Suleiman Abdullahi, 23, and Ruwa Buba, 11, were unhurt.

The Commissioner of Police in Adamawa, Afolabi Babatola, commended the operatives of Toungo Divisional Police Office and hunters for their bravery. He directed the joint operations team to track down the fleeing members of the kidnap gang and urged residents to provide credible information to aid the police in their efforts ².

This successful operation is a testament to the police's commitment to protecting lives and property in Adamawa State.
