The Ebonyi State Police Command has arrested two suspected hoodlums, Chigbo Eze and Igbele Osinachi, during an intelligence-led operation in Ezza South Local Government Area. The suspects were apprehended at Amanekwula Village after reports of sporadic gunshots.
Items recovered from the suspects include a locally-made pistol and 14 rounds of 9mm live ammunition. The police spokesperson, SP Joshua Ukandu, stated that the suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue to track down other members of the criminal gang.
Commissioner of Police, CP Adaku Uche-Anya, reiterated the command's determination to combat crime and criminality in the state, urging residents to provide timely and credible information to enhance public safety ¹ ² ³.
