Police Arrest Wanted Kidnappers and Cultists in Delta State

The Delta State Police Command has announced the arrest of several suspected kidnappers and cultists in the state. According to the police, the suspects were arrested in a series of coordinated operations across Delta State.

Arrest of Kidnappers
- *Chiadiji Collins*: A wanted kidnapper known as "Smooth" was arrested by operatives of the CP-Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT) along Ibusa road. Collins, 42, had been on the police watchlist for series of kidnapping activities within Ibusa/Ogwashi-Uku and Asaba axis. An AK-47 rifle and 40 rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition were recovered from his hideout.
- *Ezechie Andrew*: Another suspect, Ezechie Andrew, was arrested with two pump actions and two live cartridges.

Arrest of Cultists
- *Benjamin Okwufulueze, Augustine Ifeanyi, and Iruma Japheth*: Three suspected cultists were arrested at Big Gate, Campus III, Abraka. A fabricated Beretta pistol with four live ammunition, a black cap with Eiye inscription, and a battle axe were recovered from them. The suspects confessed to being members of the Eiye confraternity ¹.

Police Efforts
The Commissioner of Police in Delta State, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, has urged parents and guardians to discourage their children and wards from engaging in cult-related activities and criminality. He also advised members of the public to report any suspicious persons or movements in their environment to the police ¹.

The police command has continued to demonstrate its commitment to reducing criminal activities in the state through these arrests and recoveries.
