The New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) has issued a stern warning to the Kwankwasiyya group and the TNM faction to cease claiming membership of the party. This warning comes amidst a deepening rift between the NNPP and the Kwankwasiyya/TNM factions, which had played a significant role in the party's 2023 election campaign [2).

According to the NNPP, the Kwankwasiyya group's actions amount to blackmail, and their attempts to destabilize the party will not be tolerated. The party's National Chairman, Dr. Agbo Gilbert Major, accused the Kwankwasiyya group of orchestrating illegal actions, including attempting to replace the Deputy Minority Leader, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Sani Madaki, with someone who is not a member of the NNPP ¹.

The NNPP has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the rule of law and constitutionalism, warning that any actions taken by the Kwankwasiyya group against NNPP members would be considered null and void. The party has also urged security agencies to investigate and prevent any disruptive actions by the Kwankwasiyya group ¹.

In a statement, the NNPP National Chairman emphasized that the party's structure and leadership have reverted to its original founders since July 28, 2023. He warned the Kwankwasiyya group and TNM faction to desist from fraudulent and heinous posturing, stressing that they are no longer recognized as members of the NNPP ².
