For the past one month, the news media has been flooded with details of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. This Invasion has triggered a lot of discussions and arguments around the world. According to reports, despite Russia's strength, Ukraine has shown a tough resistance. In this article we're going to discuss some countries that would be very difficult to invade and the reason why.
1) Japan
Firstly, Japan is one of the top 10 countries with the biggest military budget and they have one of the strongest military defense in the world. Apart from that, Japan is an island: which means that the only means of approach is either by water (Navy Fleet) or by strong Air Force. However, Japanese military is more focused on these two areas, air defense and defense on water.
2) The United Kingdom
All the countries that make up the UK are all situated on an island. That alone places them at an advantage: meaning that anyone who plans to invade the United Kingdom has only two parts of approach which is through air or by sea. Fortunately, they have prepared their military force for such attacks.
That is why majority of their soldiers are well trained mainly in air and on-water combat. To crown it all, the UK is always two steps ahead when it comes to espionage and military technology.
3) Switzerland
When it comes to being defensive against invasion, Switzerland enjoys to major advantages. Firstly, no one is really interested in invading Switzerland. They went through World War 1 and World War 2 without being invaded. Their neutral position is also another big advantage, they won't be your ally and if you try to invade them, the whole world would be against you.
Lastly, every man in the country has undergone basic training in military combat and they are also allowed to keep their guns. So, despite the fact that they may have a small military force when compared to other nations, they can is mobilize a massive Army from the civilians.
4) North Korea
North Korea is like those crazy kids in your street that may look weak, but you can't really tell what they are capable of doing when you approach them in the wrong way. Yes, it is true that North Korea has a large army, but the big issue here is that they have large nuclear weapons.
And they are very impatient and a twitchy trigger finger, they could just destroy everything with their nuclear weapons, so it is better to let them be.
5) Russia
Russia is the biggest country in the world by land mass. This country has been invaded so many times and none of these invaders were able to conquer the land. First, It was Napoleon and then Hitler, but none of their armies were able to survive the vicious winter and extremely cold weather. Above all, Russia has nuclear weapons, they are reportedly the best in espionage, spying and secret ops.
6) Canada
Canada is the second largest country by landmass. It has 3 oceans and the United States on its borders. So before you invade Canada you will have to conquer U.S.A or figure out a way to deploy your soldiers either by air or by sea. Considering that is the second largest country in the world that'll be a large area of land to conquer.
7) Australia
Just like UK and Japan, Australia is surrounded by water. Secondly, Australia is located on the southern Hemisphere and they have the most protected coastlines in the world. The cost of deploying an army to that region would be a big problem.
8) China and the United States.
Without much explanation, we all know that US and China are the highest military budget in the world. They are highly advanced in military technology and China has a very large army.
