The senator's statement comes after recent US-backed airstrikes targeted ISIS-linked camps in Sokoto State, killing multiple militants. The operation was carried out in collaboration with Nigerian authorities, with President Bola Tinubu giving the go-ahead for the strikes. Tambuwal stressed that the fight against terrorism should not be limited to Sokoto, but should also include other affected states such as Borno, Zamfara, Katsina, and Kaduna ³ ¹ ².
