Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke have arrested three suspected armed criminals in Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State. The suspects, identified as John Isaac (22), Baba Emmanuel (17), and Sunday Thomas (19), were apprehended on November 5, 2025, along the Otukpo-Enugu Road at the Amoda axis.
The troops recovered a locally made pistol, one cartridge, three mobile phones, and N20,200 from the suspects. Preliminary investigations suggest they were planning a criminal operation.
The Force Commander, Major General Moses Gara, commended the troops for their vigilance and professionalism, saying their swift action may have averted another violent attack.
