Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo is expected to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), according to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. Kalu described Soludo as a progressive, aligning with President Bola Tinubu and other APC leaders.
Soludo recently won re-election, defeating APC's Nicholas Ukachukwu by over 300,000 votes. Kalu emphasized Soludo's political ideology matches APC's, stating, "He has no alternative but to join us".
Kalu dismissed suggestions of coercion, saying, "Neither I nor other senators, the Senate President, or President Tinubu have ever forced anybody to join our party". Soludo's potential defection would strengthen APC's base in the South East ¹ ² ³.
