A 30-year-old man, Toheeb Ganiyu, has been docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates' Court, Ibadan, for allegedly keeping his friend's gun in his office. Ganiyu, who pleaded not guilty, is being charged with accessory after the fact. The prosecutor, Insp Olalekan Adegbite, alleged that Ganiyu permitted Olaoluwa Ogungbade, a suspected cultist, to keep the gun in his office, despite knowing Ogungbade is a member of the Aiye confraternity ¹ ² ³.

The Magistrate, Mrs Kausarat Ayofe, granted Ganiyu bail in the sum of N200,000 and one surety in like sum, with the surety required to be a close relation and gainfully employed. The case has been adjourned until January 26, 2026, for hearing.
