Former Senator Shehu Sani has warned that if President Bola Tinubu fails to deliver on his promises, it will be extremely challenging for any future Nigerian president to succeed. Speaking on TVC, Sani emphasized that Tinubu has a "historic opportunity" to reshape Nigeria's destiny and put the country on the path to greatness ¹ ² ³.

Sani stressed that Nigeria is at a critical juncture, requiring decisive leadership and bold reforms. He urged Tinubu to prioritize competence over political loyalty in appointments, citing his successful approach in Lagos as a model to replicate nationwide ² ⁴.

"The standard he set in Lagos, where he brought the best people to lead, must now be applied nationwide," Sani said. He also lamented Nigeria's toxic politics, where politicians view opponents as enemies rather than partners in progress ² ³.

Sani drew parallels with countries like Singapore and China, which achieved greatness through difficult reforms and sacrifices. He warned that if Nigerians don't address current challenges, they'll still be facing the same issues 25 years from now ⁴ ⁵.

"Those in power today are in their 60s and 70s. By 2040, many of them will be gone. What future are we leaving for the younger generation?" Sani asked, emphasizing the need for long-term vision and transformative leadership ⁶.
