The Niger State Police Command has arrested 30 suspected thugs during the Maulud procession in Minna on September 6, 2025. The arrests were made in various locations across the state capital, including Angwan-Sarki, Limawa, Angwan-Daji, New-Market, Sabon-Gari, Kuta Road, Obasanjo Complex, Ogbomosho Street, Lagos Street, and Central Roundabout.

- *Illicit Substances*: Cannabis, shisha apparatus, and other chemical substances

Suspects and Investigation
The suspects, including Abdullahi Ibrahim, Zahradeen Ibrahim (a.k.a Lagos boy), Dauda Usman, Abubakar Ibrahim, Bashir Safiyanu, Ashiru Rabiu, Abba Musa, and Mohammed Abubakar, are currently under investigation. They will face charges of thuggery ¹.

The Niger State Police Command has been working to clamp down on thuggery activities and other vices in the state. In a separate operation, the police also intercepted Muhammad Usman with two locally fabricated guns and six rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition.
