Kwara United Chairman, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye, has expressed the team's readiness for the upcoming 2025-26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The Harmony Boys will kick off their campaign with a home match against Ikorodu City in Ilorin on August 22.
Preparation and Expectations
Titiloye assured that Kwara United is focused on improving their performance from last season. "We are optimistic about this new season," he said. "The technical crew and players are working hard, and we believe we can build on the momentum from last season to achieve even greater success."
New Signings and Support
The team has unveiled 17 new players to strengthen their squad, including goalkeepers Nurudeen Badmus and Aiyeleso Suraju, defenders Dodon Isaac and Olainiyi Saheed, and forwards Ifeanyi Ogba and Junior Aimufa. The club's management expressed gratitude to Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his financial support, which has significantly aided their preparations.
Continental Ambitions
Kwara United will also compete in the CAF Confederation Cup next season, adding an extra layer of challenge to their schedule. The team has resumed training under Coach Tunde Sanni and will play a friendly match against Blimz FC to fine-tune their preparations ¹ ² ³.
