The political crisis in Rivers State led to the suspension of Governor Sim Fubara, his deputy, and the state legislature three months ago. President Bola Tinubu suspended Fubara for six months and declared a state of emergency. Since then, Fubara has met with Tinubu and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, his estranged political godfather, in a bid to push for reconciliation ¹.
